About the event
This is a three-mile walk around the hilltop of Werneth Low with extensive views over the South Pennines, Derbyshire, the Welsh Hills, the Cheshire Plain and the conurbation of Greater Manchester. Much of the route straddles the border of Tameside and Stockport boroughs.
There is a steep climb at the start of the walk for about 5 minutes but it is easy going and after that it is relatively flat.
As the walk route includes styles and some ascents and descents, it is not rated as suitable for wheelchair or pushchair-users.
Asr Namaz before the start of the walk
We can pray in our car or in Jammat at 13:45 before the walk starts. There has been a change in the planned walk because we need to leave for the walk at 2pm to reach our destination to see the sunset. Sorry for any inconvenience caused
